The Brief
The owners wanted to keep the character of their period home while making it work better for everyday family life, with more light, better storage and rooms that connect naturally.
The Challenge
Period houses reward a careful hand. The work needed to respect original features such as the fireplaces and proportions, while introducing modern glazing, storage and services without the joins showing.
What Embury Delivered
- Deep green built-in joinery and display cabinets around the living room fireplace
- Steel-framed glass doors connecting the reception rooms
- A kitchen and dining space beneath rooflights, opening onto the garden
- Bathrooms finished with brass fittings and patterned floor tiles
- A hallway with bold star-pattern floor tiles
